Pagrati Multi-Residential Building II

Located in the vibrant neighborhood of Pagrati in Athens, this project transforms an aging residential building into a contemporary urban living space, balancing preservation with modern design. The original structure is retained and enhanced, with the façade reinterpreted through clean lines, subtle material contrasts and the integration of vertical greenery. Existing balconies are redefined as layered outdoor spaces, strengthening the connection between interior life and the city beyond—an essential quality of Athenian living. Interiors are reconfigured into bright, open-plan layouts, using natural materials and a neutral palette to create a calm, cohesive atmosphere. Large openings connect interior spaces to terraces, maximizing light and spatial flow. The rooftop is reimagined as a shared green retreat, completing the building’s transition into a modern, livable environment while respecting its place in the neighborhood.
